I'm thinking about bying my first acoustic and was looking at the Norman B50. I've played and thought the sound is exactly what im looking for. Its made out of a solid spruce top and flame maple back ad sides. I was wondering if anyone has ever played this guitar (here) or a guitar made of the same wood combination and what u thought of it.

Thanks

Pat

I think it sounds good. Ive never really been able to compare different sounds of woods. I think its very clear and crisp. It has a nice sound with nice bass, and good treble.

And here about the quality

Thats all you need to know.

I personally, wouldn't buy anything Canada made..unless it is green, is stickey, and smokable ph34r.gif

my best bet is try it out, if it's exactly what you want get it. the only thing i'd have to question is does the sound get better after aging like martin or taylor?

PLAY THE GUITAR YOU ARE INTERESTED IN!!!! Ok, enough shouting....

Acoustic guitars, regardless of maker, are fickle instruments. Each one has subtleties that make its tone distinctive.

You may play one Norman you love, and the next one (same model even) may not sound so great to your ears.

So, MAKE SURE you try the guitar first!!
