I was just playing around on my guitar and I started playing this. Is it a scale? If it is what one?

Yes, it's a pentatonic scale (also known as a "box" pattern). The one you have can be used with a blues/rock song in the key of B. There are five (I think) of those box patterns that connect with each other allowing you to play leads and runs the length of the fretboard.

If you start and end in the right places, you will have 2 pentatonic scales: D major and B minor pentatonic:

D major
--------------------------------5--7--10
--------------------------5--7-----------
--------------------4--7-----------------
-------------4--7------------------------
-------5--7------------------------------
------------------------------------------

B minor

--------------------------------5--7-
--------------------------5--7-------
--------------------4--7-------------
-------------4--7--------------------
-------5--7--------------------------
----7--------------------------------

B minor alternate fingering

-------------------------------- 7--
-------------------------- 7--10-----
-------------------- 7--9------------
------------- 7--9------------------
----------7--9------------------------
--7--10-------------------------------

D major alternate fingering

------------------------------10—---
------------------------10-12-------
-------------------9—11—------------
-------------9--12------------------
-------9--12------------------------
-10-12------------------------------
