Welcome to the GZ forums.

the rules are as follows:

• NO SPAMMING (it may be an off-topic forum but spam will not be tolerated)
• No flaming, harassment or abuse of other members, no personal slurs (in other words, play nice )
• No posting of any material that could be considered offensive, pornographic or is illegal. This includes all written content, anything in signatures and avatars (remember that children can access this site)
• No LINKING to any material that is pornographic, offensive or harmful to a user's computer
• No inappropriate language (as said, this site can be accessed by children).
• No multiple usernames. Use ONE account for all your posts.
• If your post would be more appropriate in one of the other forums then please post it there.
• Do not harass users on other boards (MX Tabs, Taborama, Spoofee, etc.), especially in the name of this site.
• When reporting a post please include the user name that made the post you are reporting so that the mods will know if a different mod already dealt with it.
• Stealing other people's accounts is not allowed at all.
• Don't make threads asking where your deleted topic went. If it was deleted it was for a reason, if you feel a post or topic of yours was unjustly deleted send a PM to a moderator about it, there is no need for a whole thread about it.
• Don't make topics asking why you are on preview and/or suspension, if you are on preview and do not know why send a PM to a moderator, again, there is no need for a whole topic.
• Do not make threads advertising your own website with the intention to leech users from GZ. This will result in the thread being closed.
• Do not make topics asking other users to "rate", "choose", or "check out" your signature or avatar. They are considered pointless.
• Do not "bump" old topics repeatedly unless you have something valid to add or have a justifiable reason for adding a comment.
• No dissing of moms
• No racism
• Comments that ridicule another members religious beliefs will not be tolerated. Which comments are considered parody and which are considered geniunely offensive will be determined by the mod who administers disciplinary action.
• Words such as "######" and "faggôt" when used in a derogatory manner will be considered offensive and require discipline.
• Here is a schedule that moderators may or may not follow for discipline:
  10% - 2 hr suspension
  20% - 12 hr suspension
  30% - 24 hr suspension
  40% - 3 day suspension
  50% - Suspension until further notice
• Posted images (those nested between image tags) should be under 100 kB. They should also have height and weight dimensions no greater than 600 pixels.
• No altering/editing your threads so that they are devoid of the original content.

Note: Violation of the rules will be determined by the forum moderator(s), an ombudsman, or the administrator. The type and length of disciplinary action will be determined by the enforcing authority. Disciplinary action may be enforced without notice to the user.



Frequently Asked Questions


How do I put a picture in my signature?

Go to "My Controls" at the top of the page.
In the column on the left hand side, under Personal Profile choose "Edit Signature".
In the big box at the bottom of the page type the following:

Then click "Update Signature".

To make this picture an active link to something, type:

But please be sure to write underneath what the link is to so as not to decieve.


How do I get an avatar?

Go to "My Controls" at the top of the page.
In the column on the left hand side, under Person Profile choose "Edit Avatar Settings".
Then choose an avatar from the forum, a URL or upload from your C drive
Then click "Update Avatar".


What do I do if I see something posted that is against the rules or is offensive to me?

Click the "Report" button at the top of the post in question.
(Be sure not to confuse the "Reply" and "Report" buttons.)
Then follow the prompts.
This will send a message to one of the moderators, whose attention will be drawn to the post and the matter can be dealt with at the moderator's discretion.
You can see who the moderators of each forum are by going to the main forum index page. Their usernames will be listed next to their forums.

How do I send a private message to another user?

If you have something to say to another member exclusively, it is more appropriate to send that user a Private Message, aka a "PM", than post on the forum where everyone else is.
You can send a PM by clicking on "My Controls".
In the column on the left hand side, under Messages choose "Compose New Message".
This will take you to the compose page, just follow the prompts, it's a lot like sending an e-mail.

If someone has sent YOU a PM, it will appear at the top of the page next to My Controls, saying "# new messages".
Click on this link and it will take you to your inbox.


What is a moderator?

A moderator is a user specified to observe the content of the specific forum(s) they are assigned to, and to enforce site rules within their forum. Issues about a specific forum should be brought to the attention of its moderator(s).


What is a tab reviewer?

A tab reviewer is a user who consistently volunteers his or her time to review incoming tabs.


What is an ombudsman?

An ombudsman is a user specified to handle site-wide issues, and to enforce the rules of the site. Queries normally directed to the ombudsman are:

• The search engine does not work
• I cannot submit tabs
• My moderator is trying to kill me
• I am being harassed by another user
• The site is being bombed by spammers
• Etc.

The current site ombudsmen are users improviduto, halfmoonbay, sixgunsound, dorio, and mistymountainhop.


Who is the site administrator?

The site administrator is user rbalch. It is advised that you do not contact the administrator about a problem without contacting a moderator or ombudsman first.
