Well, the two most famous ones are Layla and Tears in Heaven, no doubt about that.

The one I like to play the best is Tears in Heaven. It's and easy song but it's best played on a classical acoustic guitar. Also, if you aren't a great fingerpicker, this is a good song to practice you fingerstyle playing.

Layla is fairly easy as well. Actually, it's really easy, imo. For a beginner, this song would be a good one to start with. This was like the second or third song I ever learned, and I pretty much picked it up right away.

Hope that helps. smile.gif

Tears in Heaven. San Francisco Bay Blues is not that hard, but very cool, esp. with some harmonica and kazoo. biggrin.gif

If you want to do any of the Robert Johnson tunes, try the originals, they're better.

(Grzeg, I listened to your "The Entertainer". That's quite a tune to tackle. A piano tune like that demands the conceptual separation of the fret-board down the middle and the totally independent use of the thumb and fingers to try to duplicate two-handed piano playing. I give you a lot of credit...ascending/descending lines, etc. Some nice flowing passages... You're really "in hot pursuit" of old Blind Blake!)

I want to learn Tears in Heaven pretty soon but I have a couple of other songs on the block that I have to learn first. It is one of the sweetest songs I have ever heard. So is layla...I actually like the electric version a lot too for that song, but the acoustic is pretty good too!

Tears in Heaven is one of those songs..where if you play the first part of the song..heads begin to turn, and it's so familiar. It's not hard at all. You could probably pick it up within a few days.

Thanks! More are coming. I wanted to PM you on that when I get something new I'm working on and when I update Entertainer. I updated it today, still it's not perfect perfect. I feel that's a tune you can always improve in terms of playing. But I'm quite satisfied with myself. That song definitely one of the most demanding guitar challanges I faced.

As to Blind Blake, I'm working on a couple of things now, also my own composition when I use more of typically alternate thumb and it's based on 12 bar progression. But first something else I'll upload soon.

Thanks for listening, glad you liked it! biggrin.gif

Tears in Heaven is pretty easy, Layla is a little trickier, except it sucks hardcore, not Clapton's best idea.

I think I have those tabs at home...I'll have to check it out and see what they look like*remembers he is on a tabs website*

So I am looking at these ans it looks a little complicated...is this sort of those ones that looks complicated but when you sit down to play it is easier to play?

A lot of people would know the song if I played it though.

yeah unplugged is an amazing album to lean songs from.. i mean they were the first set of songs i learned, layla was the first lol.. and i mean ive only been playing guitar for like 6 1/2 months, and i can no problem sit down and play the entire album ahhaa... when i play at school, everyone knows tears in heaven, adn all the girls stop to listen tongue.gif ahaah.. and me and my buddy play layla together (solos by yours truely) ahah and it sounds just awesome, so definatly look up these songs, the fingerstyle seems hard at first, but once you sit down and give it some time, it all comes together nicely tongue.gif
