I haven't christened her yet though... I was thinking Louise. Yes? No?
Very classic...My Hofner was Mira, and I too need to name the new giter.
Note: Mira can be seen with me in the Discussion forum under the Pic Posting Marathon thread.

Not sure what color you went with but I think I saw black binding on this one...I know the pic is huge, but it shows good detail!
Looks like a pretty good deal, esp. since Alverez makes some good guitars...and the hardshell case is an added plus
Congrats, good purchase!

Congratulations, Che'. I have an Alvarez and it's a pretty nice guitar. Plays well and sounds damn good too. Yeah, lay off the bumper-stickers for awhile!

I agree I paid 400 + a trade in (about 600 total) for my takamine. Recently I went looking at Taylors and Martins in the 1000 - 1500$ range, I found that they didn't have anything over my takimine.

Sweet man. I have an RD-8. It is a pretty good guitar(Espescially for the $$$). It plays really well to be an inexpensive guitar. Sounds pretty good too. Actually i think i'm gonna go play mine right now...(ever since i got my Martin I haven't played the Alvarez as much...shame on me

My classical guitar named Bianca doesn't have a pickguard neither does my steel string named Clarice, they're a bit hoochy. I'm trying to wear the finish on them a little bit, it's adds character, but it's not easy when you don't use a pick very often, my nails are getting more worn than the finish.

classical guitars dont have a pick guard becuase they are not meant to be played with a plectrum.
Well no crap.
