Acoustic Guitar Magazine just had an issue devoted to guitar manufacturers big and small. They had an extensive list which likely had that guy's guitar make. Of course you'd have to be able to recognize the name when you see it.

Ilive in Statesboro, GA about 30 minutes from Bloomingdale. There's a guy there named Randy Wood. He custom makes acoustic guitars and mandolins (maybe banjos too). But he's really big. If it's from Georgia, It's Wood. Simple as that.

I'm on a waiting-list to have one built by a guy in Virginia (Wayne Henderson) who's pretty good. He's built 'em for lots of famous people as well as more regular guys like me. He's built them for Steve Stills, Garth Brooks, Eric Clapton, etc. (And he doesn't play favorites for the wait. My buddy bought one and he was one name ahead of Clapton and ol' Eric just had to wait like everybody else.). He really builds some nice guitars. I've been on the list for almost two years and have less that one year to go. But there are lots of good luthiers around. You'd need more information to find the exact one.

Can I ask how much are you paying for a well-crafted hand made guitar?

There is a fine line between insanity and genius and I think i crossed it...but what side I am on is still unclear.

Sure. At the time I described what I wanted to him he estimated between $3000 and $3500. Not bad at all, considering a new Gibson or Martin or even a Taylor would cost pretty close to that much. That's probably increased slightly since then. I'll get a firm cost when he's ready to build it. Adam (Adds) often says that a good luthier-made guitar isn't any more than a factory-made upper-end guitar and he's right.
