eventually learn Oasis by Wonderwall. you might not be able to play it right now but get a capo and play it cuz it is a great acoustic song. Also if u are taking lessons ask your teacher for some songs. Otherwise try Theif by Our Lady Peace the chords are: Dsus, Asus, G, A, Em,C. for the order of the song click here

you know whats a great song that no-one talkes about?????
some of the first ones' i learned and i was born in the 70's!
5 years - david bowie
loving cup- rolling stones
heart of gold - neil young
why georgia why - john mayer
By my side - ben harper
flake - jack johnson
Mother - pink floyd
basically i just practised and practised my g, c, d e, em,am, f untill i did not have to look at my left hand anymore. I got really tired of these songs...but now when i brew them up... its a blast!
keep it simple

Welcome
As for some easy acoustic songs just try to learn any song you like and if its to hard it'll just take longer to get down
but keep at it and you can play anything. Also you may want to try 12 bar blues which is very easy and fun to play in E -
E E7 A A7 E B7 E -- Thats with the added 7ths and can be lots of fun to mess around with substitutions, turn arounds etc
Have fun
