That's about 360 dollars at the top of your price range. Well, I'd go used... A lot of people on here will recommend Takamines.

There's some good Yamahas that are slightly above your max, though they don't have a cutaway nor a pickup. Are you sure you need a cutaway? Remember also you can use a mic instead of a pickup.

Have a look at the Freshman range (avoid the laminated tops though). Again though, for cutaways with electrics I think you'll need to extend your range a bit for new.

I bought a wood-topped Freshman for £180 and it sounds good to me - but I have nothing to compare it with so it might be rubbish! biggrin.gif
