the tuning peg for my high e string has broken off. not completely, but the peg used to tighten the string has come off. so i can't use my e string. is there any temporary fix for this? just something that will enable me to put my e on.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

i got it fixed. temporarily.

i took a screw with thick threads on it, put it where the peg was, and used a screwdriver to tighten to string.

it'll hold til christmas when i get my new guitar.

Or you could scrape together a few dollars and get it replaced- is it a decent guitar?
