hey, i play an ibanez accoustic, not really knowledgable on the technical aspects of guitars but im not a beginner as far as playing goes. Also far from being where i want to be. I can learn things quickly but am limited in figuring stuff out on my own. Have a request if anyone has time to screw around with it. I have a grainy bootleg of David Gray covering the velvet underground song Pale Blue Eyes. The tabs online only have the V.U. version. which is F-B-Dm-B??-C-F-B-C-F the chorus is C-F pretty simple and nice but the Gray version is the same melody but the guitar is in a much nicer voicing and/or key. Cant get it right. if anyone has heard that cover or figures out a nice variation or voicing for the original please let me know. i've been trying for a while and i cant get it quite right. thanks dave

I don't know the song, but if you think the key is different with the other version try using a capo and see if you can find the key. Most likely the chord fingerings are the same as the old version, but the other guy just moved the chords futher up the neck with a capo to match his voice. Start out with the capo on the 1st fret and try that, then try 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. Good luck!

If you could somehow post the tune version you need (like maybe temporarily to SoundClick or something) it might help.
Un-plugged is not the same as
never-was-plugged-in-to-begin-with.

When the roll is called up yonder he'll be there
