How much did you purchase this item for? $99 US
Where did you purchase this item? Musiciansfriend.com
Is this item new or used? New at purchase

Features: Well, it's a delay. It's got all the normal stuff. Time, number of repeats, level, and a selector for which type of delay (forward, reverse, loop)

Construction: Solid. Could be classified as a lethal weapon.

Sound: It has a good sound. Really clean, doesn't muddy up the tone at all.

Ease of Use: Dubya could figure it out wink.gif

Reliability: Haven't run into problems yet. Get an adaptor though, it eats batteries.

Overall: A good buy. I don't use enough digital delay to need a DD6, and if you are in the same type of shoes, you should be good with this pedal.

Experience Level Had it for a year and half.

How much did you purchase this item for? around 130$ CDN

Where did you purchase this item? Steve's Music Store in Ottawa, ON

Is this item new or used? Brand spankin' new

Features: Standard delay up to 4 seconds, dual output for stereo ping-pong (nice feature but more or less useless in a live-band situation), tape delay, chorus delay, reverse delay, loop (up to 4000ms)

Construction: Could likely stop a bullet. Rugged case, pedal-button is firm to stomp on. The level knob is kinda loose on mine, so the rest might match it after some time spent twiddling with them (though level is by far the knob one would use the most).

Sound: I use a BOSS MT-2 Metal Zone; this delay tends to *really* echo the MT-2's true sound, meaning echoes sound a little drier than normal unecho'd tone. Can't remember what 'near dead' battery tone/distortion is like (if any) as I used an AC adapter almost from the day I got it. It doesn't add a white-noise 'hiss' at all. I haven't used it in an effects loop very much (mainly in a pedal chain before my amp), but the one thing I noted was that it is more volume-sensitive in the effects loop in my amp, than in a pedal chain before my amp.

Ease of Use: Very simple. The "X Series" knob is a nice break from other pedals, as it is a main feature of the entire X Series line.

Reliability: I've only ever had it go wonky on me once when I first got the pedal, causing some strange electronica-sounding repetition and noise. I thoroughly recommend using an AC adapter, as this little beast eats batteries for breakfast.

Overall: I chose this pedal because it had the most features for the price. At the time, the BOSS one I was looking at was overpriced for fewer features, and I didn't want to buy a plastic Danelectro pedal. The Digitech X-Series of pedals seem to be a decent lot of feature-rich pedals, and the Delay is no different. Delay is great if you include a lot of rapid-note technique in your playing (I am an avid fan of arpeggio sweeping), if set to the right level it sounds very "Malmsteen baroque"ish. Great pedal... get it!

Experience Level: I've owned the pedal since June of 2004
