If you really want a quality guitar, get one with a hard wood back. The soft wood doesn't sound as good. Hard back has a better tone and it carries well.

you might as well go to your guitar center and look, also go to musiciansfriend.com and check the acoustics out there.

There are hundreds of cheaper brands out there in that price range, just go to your local shop and take a look, see what brand takes your fancy.

You would never use a soft wood for the back. Are you sure your not getting a little mixed up and meant to say a soft wood top?

oooh. Most people on here(including myself) don't seem to fancy Fender acoustics too much. Did you already buy it?

Seems to me like you are biased and wanted to get it all along. Good luck.

Where are these great reviews you speak of?
Honestly, don't touch a fender acoustic. Go for a Yamaha or something, but fender... Ugh.

Yep, I'd agree. I myself am very biased towards Yamaha, having two of their guitars (an electric and electro-acoustic) smile.gif Great instruments
