Acoustic/Electric guitar Action. What is it? Rate Topic: -----

When I read some of the posts about acoustic electric guitars, i come across the term "action," and I am sorry to say that I don't know what it is. Could someone please explain what it is?

Its just the hight of the strings thats all.

Height of the string where? What does it mean when the action is high or low?
