If you don't like it get mellow strings, or take the strings off and stuff a pillow in it soundbox. I've never done that, but drummers do it, right?

You either have a piece acoustic or you have crappy strings in which you should probably change them.

Hi all. Erm, the zingy metallic sound of new strings on yer acoustic is great. I love that sound! It doesn't stay around long enough as far as I'm concerned.
Ya gotta love that new string zing! Am I right or what? wink.gif

don't worry. almost all new guitars have that metallic sound. it goes away after you play for a while.

but it does also depend on what kind of strings you have. if they are phospher bronze, it'll have a brighter sound. if you don't like that, go with a more mellow strings.

so if it doesn't go away after a while, you might want to change your strings to suit your sound.
