Hey guys this is my first post. I just got an iBanez AEL 40 acoustic guitar with input. I have been told it is a great guitar what do you guys think of them.
Also what guitars do you guys have and what is your ideal guitar.

Congrats on your new purchase. It's always exciting when us boys get new toys hey. Ibanez make decent instruments generally, although I preferred the ones that were made in Japan instead of the Korean jobbys. Got an old MIJ Ibanez 12string which is really sweet.
As for my ideal git, it doesn't have a name or model number but has the tone, feel and character which fits me just right. What I'm saying is don't be blinkered by brand names!

I thought Ibanez offered several acoustics that were excellent buys for the money (sorry, I don't recall the models), when I checked a few out for my neighbor's son before he bought one a couple of months ago. Like Graeme said, the most important opinion (in fact the ONLY important opinion) is yours. If it feels and sounds good to you, it's a great guitar.
Personally, I'm more of a Gibson guy. But that's just a matter of the styles I generally play and the sound I want. Everyone has their own preferences. I already have my "ideal" guitars, my "number one" being a 1934 Gibson "The Jumbo". And welcome to GTU.

I own an Ibanez, it's an old R300, and it's my first acoustic. It always had a fret buzz problem with the big e string, and then I knocked the corner off the nut with my slide, so I had a new nut put on and the action raised a bit and it's always tuned in open D and it's my slide machine.
I know a couple of other Ibanez owners, and they are quite happy with them.
Like others have said, yours is the only opinion that matters...you be playin it, not us. Besides that, you ask a question like that around here and there's gonna be somebody come in here and tell you that an Ibanez is a piece a crap, and that would hurt your feelings.

Most definitely its your opinion that counts. I'm glad your happy with your new guitar and don't worry about what people have to say about your guitar because you are the one who is going to play it not them and you might enjoy something that they might not. I don't like Fender acoustics all that much but there are people that only play Fender acoustics and etc. Have fun with your new baby.
