Help with ben harper song! please bleed live!! Rate Topic: -----

Ok, trying to play awesome song by ben harper, which ive got spot on! but i listened to the live version (from live from mars) and in it during the chorus ben does a few little crazy pulls/hammers before the chords, just wondering if anyone knew what they were and how to do them? or even just how he seperates the chords when he plays them?
anyhelp greatly appretiated!
