I know the whole deal about fingerpicking and playing the two different parts...but it just seems so hard!!! I keep trying and the bass part just won't mix with the guitar part on my higher strings. I know both parts of the intro but I can't get them together. Maybe I just don't have any rythm. Ha ha ha. Anyone have any tips on how to learn this? Like techniques to tie both parts together?

Just listen to the timing and you should get it.

Listen to the song quite a few times just to hear the rhythem to it. Then keep running that through your head. Then attempt to play it. The only way you'll get it is practice. A lot of practice. Listen to it a few times, try to play it, and go back to listening to it again. That will get it stuck in your head.
