How much did you purchase this item for? About €90
Where did you purchase this item? Swedish music store called Musik Börsen
Is this item new or used? New

Features: Red LED display, Two large buttons for switching sound with your foot, three other buttons, a switch for editing effects, DC in, input for expression pedal and built in chromatic tuner.

Construction: It's made out of plastic so it's not all that durable.

Sound: This pedal has all effects one can need. Flanger, delay, dist, corus, doubling, tremolo, step, cry, picth, ring mod(useless effect) and slow attack. This makes it versetile but the sound quality isn't very good. It sounds cheap.

Ease of Use: It's easy to use. It's just to step on the buttons to change the sound. Makeing your own sounds is a bit more complicated though. It took me a while to get it right the first times and the manual helped a bit but it did not explain what all the setup does.

Reliability: It has served me well for a couple of years but now the jacks are beggining to give up. The input is starting to act up and I have been unable to fix it.

Overall: This is a cheap pedal that sounds as it costs. I would not buy a new one if it was stolen because I've outgrown it. It is however a great multi FX for begginers who are tired of the dist in the amp. Don't waste your money on the expression pedal because the processor isn't fast enough to handle the wha wha. You're better of buying a real volume pedal and keep it when you get tired of the Zoom.

Experience Level This was a new one. I've played guitar for 3-4 years (I think) and piano for almost 10.

I had the 606 (505 w/expression) pedal, and I never had any delay-problems when using it as wah or volume. Worked fine.. the sound quality is another issue of course, but it worked as it should. smile.gif

How much did you purchase this item for?

Where did you purchase this item? From a store near me, called Moon Stores

Is this item new or used? New

Features: About 80 pounds

Construction: It's covering is made out of plastic.

Sound: This pedal has a wide variety of sounds effects, and most of which are stated above. You can range from a funk-like WAH effect, to some heavy metal crunch.

Ease of Use: It is fairly easy to use. It basically has two pedals, in which you can change which effect you want to hear. If you have big feet, or even wearing shoes, trying to use the two pedals can be slightly a problem. When i'm playing at home, I don't really put shoes or socks on, which makes it easy to use.

Reliability: It's reliable, however, after having it for a year and bit, the pedal is beginning to mess up slightly. The effects to come out that clear, and just come either faintly, and sometimes not at all. I would reccomend this pedal to anyone who has never bought an effects pedal before (just like me). It is well worth the money.

Overall: 9.5 out of 10. The reason as to why it is 9.5, is simply because it is not really an everlasting pedal without faults, and does have it's drawbacks.

I have the 504 II Acoustic.
New for about $50 US at Pulse music online

I use it in a studio setting, so it sits on a slanted shelf with some rack gear and other boxes. It does well modding a dreadnaught to nylon, delta blues, jumbo etc. very good at simulating mic distance, PUPs, and cabnet/room sizes. Particularly good with the 12 string simulation. Convenient when practicing with an electric as it can simulate accoustic sound without having to switch guitars. I leave it on all the time in Auto-feedback suppressor mode as a noisegate (spin the selector all the way to the right, then hit both pedals {or footswitch} at the same time to elliminate hum). I have the Expression pedal and have no problem with the Wah, but I usually go with auto-wah because my foot refuses to listen to my brain when I'm playing laugh.gif

How much did you purchase this item for? $110 Canadian
Where did you purchase this item? Steve's Music Store (Ottawa, Ontario)
Is this item new or used? New

Features: Two foot-switches that enable you to browse up or down between effects, 1 knob to access effects type (Level, Wah, Limit, Compression, Distortion, Gain, Phase, EQ, Contour, Amp Modelling, Modulation Effects, Delay/Reverb, Time), two buttons that make switching between effects banks quicker (also to adjust tuning calibre) and a button to store custom effects. Has your standard input jack, Adapter socket, Control In (dunno what that's for...) and and output, which can be used for headphones. There's also a little disply screen thing.

Construction: Pretty solid. Although, about a year after owning this pedal, the input jack became loose.

Sound: There's so much versatility in the sound. But the sounds emitted from the pedal istelf are kind of thin. You have to beef it up with your amp's tone knobs. You can get some really smooth distortions, some crazy wild effects, some great rhythm tones, and I tweaked and tweaked until I found a delay/echo tone that was very close to that of the Edge's. What one setting sounds like on one guitar, will sound completely different on another.

Ease of Use: Basic use is very easy. Actually going in and customizing your own effects takes a little bit of knowledge about the pedal. other than that, it's not crazy difficult.

Reliability: Well. Things were good for the first year. Then the input jack came loose, and my signal kept cutting out and I would get this really loud humming or buzzing noise. I went and got that fixed. Now, recently, just over two years from buying the pedal, something else is wrong with it, and my signal will not work whatsover. I've taken it apart and all pieces are secure. The screen says that my signal is going through, but I can't get any sound from it. If and when I do, it's a clicking noise, then it blacks out. I love this pedal, but I think I wore it out...

Overall: Awesome pedal- when it works.
