Try looking on E-bay for some 12 strings. You can get them really cheap from there.

What is your idea of "cheap"? If its $200-300 then I would try as many 12-strings in that price range as you can. Unfortunately cheap 12-strings can be harder to play. My first one was an Epiphone (don't remember the model). It was OK, but it was a little like playing a log with 12 strings strung across it. I never played it much, but mainly because at the time I didn't play alot of 12-string songs. Play as many as you can and go with one that feels and sounds good to you.

If you're willing to spend $700 or more you can pick up nicer, solid top 12-strings(I think Martin and Taylor make their "bottom end" 12-strings starting around that price.) It's worth considering a higher priced one if you can afford it since a cheap 12-string can make you not want to play it.....

Fender makes an inexpensive acoustic 12 string. I had one for about 10 years. Check out www.musiciansfriend.com
