use? Since summer isn't all too far off, I know humidity will become a factor and all. Are there any household items that would help protect the fretboard?
Lemon oil works good, doesn't it? And would keeping my guitar in a gig bag help protect it from humidity? I made a cardboard case for my other guitar. I don't think that one will help any though.

Lemon oil works yes but its not something that lying round most homes.I know a fair few luthiers that swear by olive oil which you might well have in the cupboard.

Olive oil, I'll give that a shot. So I put that on my fretboard every 4-6 months or so?
Couple of times a year is all it needs. When the finger board starts getting dirty give it a good clean and then treat it with some oil.You dont need alot you dont want to staurate it.
