After having this guitar for a while now and having the chance to go over it really thoroughly, here's a better review

How much did you purchase this item for? This guitar was $99.

Where did you purchase this item? It was on Ebay, but the company is Rondo Music.
Is this item new or used? Brand new, made in 2004 in China.

Features: A lake placid blue alder body that I'm fairly sure is one piece, maple neck with skunkstripe on back and a rosewood fretboard, nickel/silver frets, plastic nut, SX brand tuners, I a zinc alloy trem block, a vintage tremolo system, 3 single coil pickups, 5 way switch, and came stock with D'Addario strings, but they were already corroding when I got this.

Construction: This guitar is made pretty well. The electronics aren't that good, but that's for the next section. The body and neck are the best parts of this guitar. They are just as good as any Strat body and neck you'd find. The finish on the body is perfect. It has a nice color and a thick finish. The body is contoured as a Strat is. The neck has a glossy finish and is a bit thicker, sort of the older D shape. The radius on it is 13.7". The scale is just as a Strat, 25.5". The only thing that may bother some people are the jumbo frets. When it first comes out of the box, some olive oil on the fretboard might be a good idea. The hardware is alright. The tuners are ok, they'll hold their tune for a bit, but some of the tuners on mine are a bit sticky. The bridge is pretty good, but the saddles are cheap pressed steel ones. Cheap crome plating all around on the hardware. Bubbly in spots.

Sound: Eh. Weak and lacking the soul of a Strat. I played around with my amp and the pickup height, but I just couldn't get these even near a Squier's sound. The pickups aren't all that great at all. They actually did make an attempt to wax pot them. Not a great job, but I was suprised to see that on a cheap guitar. You definately need to replace these.

Ease of Use: Just like a Stratocaster.

Reliability: I'd beat the body and neck to hell and back. The electronics I wouldn't piss on. I took apart this guitar because I'm going to fix it and found that the wiring is aluminum. Pretty much the lowest quality conductor you can get. The soldering inside wasn't good. I guess they didn't clean it in there first because there were a lot of holes in the solder. The pots were tiny and burned out after about a year. Horrible electronics. The nut is plastic and I wouldn't trust it to hold long. Tuners hold fine, but stick some. Trem block is a zinc alloy and it doesn't sustain well or have the clarity of steel. Saddles are pretty cheap and wearing through after less than a year.

Overall: It's a ######ing $99 guitar. Electronics and hardware are pretty much something to laugh at. The body and neck are just fine. It's a project guitar. It sounds fine unplugged, which says there is hope for this thing. Just be prepared to put some money in this. If you think it's worth it. Hell, for all you'd need to do to this, buy a Fender. I'd personally advise you against this guitar unless you are in a serious bind or are a beginner. The only reason I'm keeping it is to make myself an HSH strat. I'm getting a Fender for that classic Strat sound, but this will make for a good project. If you like fixing up guitars, this is heaven for you.

Experience Level: I've been around music my whole life and guitar for the better part of it. I know my way around. Instruments anyway. Vai stuff still ain't happening.
