Hello folks,
Gear Reviews is set to undergo a bit of housecleaning to get things a little more ship shape. As a repository for information on musical equipment I'd like to see things looking a bit neater and here is what I propose to do

1) The reviews are going to be tidied up so that they follow a standard format. This means that your reviews may be edited to make them easier to read and understand. You may have noticed that this has already begun on the first page. Reviews will also undergo basic spelling and grammar checks – though it would help muchly if the reviews were legible in the first place.

2) Pics will be added to the reviews. You can always include your own pics with your submission, but I must insist that they are stored at a pic hosting site. No direct links to pics on other websites please.

3) I will be purging all posts that are not actually reviews. Gear Reviews was always intended as a place to come and learn rather than a place to chat. Removing “comment” posts will not effect your total post count (if you care about such inane things as that), and will make it less bothersome for an interested reader to peruse all of the reviews in a thread. You can always use the discussion thread for any issues relating to reviews that you would like to bring up.

I would, but I really don't play a big enough variety of instruments/gear to be effective in reviewing. (I really just stick to my guitars, not big on broadening my horizons)

And while I'm sure most people wouldn't let a compliment like that go to their heads, I really appreciate it. (Considering I write all the time, its always nice to have someone comment on it -- even if its just what they've seen on a forum)
