Hey there,
I love playing this song but for the life of me, I can't figure out the strumming pattern when it kicks in. I can do all the picking fine but the strumming is killing me. I think it's syncopated but I can't figure it out. If someone could give me a little help with this, I'd be very grateful.

If you wanna play it perfectly then americanidiot911 got it. But honestly, when doing a cover, its good to vary it a little bit. Especially with strumming. Unless the strumming pattern is what makes the song, its fun to kind of make up your own, as long as you keep the same time as the original.

Experiment, listen and maybe learn some rythem orientated theory from WholeNote.
