Welcome to GTU. What kind of music are you into mostly, then a lot of people here can offer a few suggestions. And are you talking about reading chords (just letters like say Am7, etc) or tab (lines with numbers).
Un-plugged is not the same as
never-was-plugged-in-to-begin-with.

if you're just working with chords right now some songs you could try are Bob Dylan's Knockin on Heavens Door, thief by Our Lady Peace or even try strumming some chords of Led Zeppelin's Gallows Pole.

I agree with Ouijao, Listen to alot of acoustic that you personally enjoy and choose something that sounds do-able then learn.

Learn to read tab chords (example shown = Amaj):

They will generally have tunings for each string at the start of each line..

e--0--- This string is your high (pitch) e string
B--2---
G--2---
D--2---
A--0---
E--0--- & this is your low (pitched E string)

The number represents which fret on that string is to be played.
'0' is an open string.

ok, some simple acoustic songs, umm. theres:

Stairway To Heaven/Led Zep (jesus christ, hasnt this been said enough?) rolleyes.gif ...

Wish you Were Here/Pink Floyd, this song provides basic techniques like hammer ons, pull offs, bending, ect., even though David Gilmour used a 12-string, you can go with a regular 6...

All Apologies/ Nirvana, thier songs are the easiest, try picking up Unplugged in NY
it has lots of cover songs by Leadbelly, The Vaselines, all on acoustic...

i cant think of any more right now, good night

Just about anything from nirvana...
nothing else matters - metallica
animals - house of the rising sun

by the way...stairway looked so difficult at start...

You should probably try to learn songs you like, its more fun and easier because you know the song..... but it depends on what kind of music you like. you can learn to read the chords from the sites the other people posted. and if you want to practice them, try playing some country songs. biggrin.gif
