Try some Bob Dylan stuff, mostly open chord stuff with not a very difficult strumming pattern. Oasis also has some good ones to sing to.

Most Oasis and Bob Dylan songs are good for playing on an acoustic, as well as some of Eva Cassidy's stuff if you're up for a vocal challenge!

Damien Rice's songs are also brilliant for solo-acoustic/voice playing. Often, I take some songs like those from The Calling and just sing them with my acoustic, instead of having a drummer, bassist, etc...

Ummm...Neil Young, mason Jennings, Amos Lee, basically anything where your voice comes in at the beginning of the measures is good.

Don't fool yourself, she was heartache from the moment that you met her.

One word... Nirvana,

they probably have THE easiest acoustic songs, let alone singing with it.

(naming them off of the MTV Unplugged album) most of these songs can be played on an electric guitar too. theres Polly, About A girl, Come As You Are, Dumb, All Apologies ( THE easiest), Something In The Way, Plateau, Lake Of Fire,
Jesus Does`nt want me for a sunbeam... thats not all though

And when she gets there she knows
if the stores are all closed,
with a word she can get what she came for"
