you could try some new stuff like nirvana, green day and such...quite easy to play...

Heh, dont know if youre into the pop stuff, but my mom and alot of chicks I know like Jason Mraz or Howie Day, If youre lookin to impress the ladies, they might like some of those guys well known songs.

Jack Johnson is good. John Mayer is nice. and I'd suggest some Dave Matthews that was on the Some Devil CD, so you'd look under Matthews, Dave, no the Dave Matthews Band.

thanks guys for the the ideas.it helps me out a lot.jack johnson i just decovered today has some really great acoustic songs.all the suggestions i looked into today and theres some really good songs to learn.i appricate all the help.any more you can think of ill take.thanks again

Hey man, try a few of the simpler Foo Fighters tracks. Times Like These is on my soundclick (link below) so check that out and let me know what you think. Its pretty simple man so you should be able to nail it.
Jack Johnson is amazing as already mentioned and if you struggle to play some of his tracks, leave the picking stylee and just use the base chord with the odd pick. It still sounds great on many of his tracks!!!
