Hi

im looking to get a new electro acoustic i play mostly country/rock and iam looking for a guitar that slots inbetween a bright and mellow sound it must have a decent gigging quality pickup as this will be played mostly plugged.

My price range is around the $600 mark

Do you mean a guitar that's basically an electric with pickups but has some acoustic properties like a hollow-body, etc, or a guitar that is basically an acoustic guitar but can be plugged in, like a fairly deep body with a sound-hole and on-board pickups (like piezo, under-saddle, internal-mic, etc)?

Un-plugged is not the same as
never-was-plugged-in-to-begin-with.

Alvarez makes a great line of acoustic/electric guitars. Some even have a low-Z XLR plug on them instead of the 1/4". You'll be paying about $500 - $600 for one but they are the best bang for the buck in my opinion. I love mine!!!
