I've been trying to find some new acoustic artists to listen to because I'm overplaying all the stuff i like right now. I normally spend all my time listening peopl like jack johnson, dave, dispatch who are all awesome but I listen to them to much. If anyone has any unknown acoustic artists that they like I'd like to try out some new stuff for listening and playing.

Well, for something cool, try Ray Lamontagne, Ani Difranco, or Amos Lee.

My favorite acoustic artist of all time is Tracy chapman.

Bah, Graeme took lots of my list. dry.gif

Also, if you'd like to check out some cool stuff, Eric Clapton's unplugged is great.

Or, you could also try some acoustic blues such as Robert Johnson.

Don't fool yourself, she was heartache from the moment that you met her.

Everyone's rec-ing oldies. You said "new", I'll run with that.

Dudes: everything Will and Graeme recommended: +1, Iron and Wine, Johnathan Rice (from the EP, new CD is crappy), The Shins are interesting, and Sufjan Stevens is a fav around here.

Chicks: Antje Duvekot(poetic), Feist(irresistable), Kate Earl(Listen to Officer)

Feeling adventurous? Nick Drake, Of Montreal, Beck, Chris Thile, Scissor Sisters

All of these are regs on my playlists... I have weird taste, but at least I'm not listening to THREE artists over and over again. wink.gif

Enjoy

Be sure to check out Laurence Juber as well. He's my favourite acoustic guitarist.

(there's some clips in there of his songs)
