i have this guitar thats a kay acoustic and it has a suspended bridge that has a whammy bar like sound when pushed down might be called a floating bridge does anyone know anything about it

Yes, it's a "floating bridge." The strings are held by a "trapeze tail-piece." A lot of guitars (generally archtops) have them. I wouldn't try too much whammy-type stuff with one or you can damage the top. Nothing wrong with them, maybe a little more trouble changing strings as you have to make sure they're correctly positioned to keep the intonation right.
Un-plugged is not the same as
never-was-plugged-in-to-begin-with.
