How much did you purchase this item for? $1800
Where did you purchase this item? A local shop
Is this item new or used? New
Features: Two independant channels with independent Reverb. Footswitchable channels and a "solo" feature that boosts your output volume. Gain, treble, mids, bass, presence, and volume knobs for both channels. An additional "drive" select for Channel 2. "Drive" increases the distortion, kicking it from a higher gain clone of channel 1 to a high gain distortion beast. Each channel is also selectable independantly to 50w or 100w. Last feature is a Normal/Thick/Thicker switch that effects the thickness of the tone. Normal is good for blues soloing, and thick is excellent for that really fat Warren Haynes tone.
Construction: Solid so far. The casters make a huge difference, as the amp weighs a ton.
Sound: This is where the amp really shines. The reverb is equal to any Fender reverb I've ever heard. Consequently the clean channel is one of the best available. Great for Jazz or for Clean Blues or Clean rock rythm playing. Channel 2 is quite versatile, especially with the drive switch. Everything from a Zeppelin-esque crunch to a Black Sabbath or Gov't Mule heavy tone. One of the most sonically versatile amps around.
Ease of Use: I'll admit that this is probably the weak point of the amp. You really have to mess around with the EQ settings to find your tone. Also, the EQ is a little different, on most guitar amps, I have the mids boosted way high, (up to 11!) but on this one 2-4 usually works. I'll still occasionally boost them up a bit, but never all the way.
Reliability: I haven't had a problem with it, and have heard good things about Mesas, so I expect it to last for a really long time.
Overall: I give this amp a 10/10. An extremely versatile guitar amp capable of everything from jazz to blues to rock to even some metal (be prepared to augment it with an external OD pedal such as my Wylde OD for real metal tones).
Experience Level: I've been playing for nearly five years. I've been on the amp hunt for 2. I came up with this amp after 2 years of playing various amps. I first played this one around a year ago.

You might want to post this somewhere else. Not too many people come here, try Guitar Q and A for a quick response.
Let the pretend take over
And that season be the first
Shadows we're in become us
So we set up interspersed
Between here and away
Become your space every day

Mesa Boogie is reallya great amp. It has a great sound. Now a day Mettalica also use Mesa Boogie for rock and metal music.
