How much did you purchase this item for? I purchased it for $319 USD.

Where did you purchase this item? I purchased it as a "Buy Now" item on Ebay.

Is this item new or used? New.

Features: Two channels, digital effects section, 100 watts SS, two 12" Celestion speakers.
Rhythm channel features 3-band EQ, volume, and a brilliance switch that adds treble.
Lead channel features gain, 3-band EQ, volume, U.S. or U.K. preamp switch, and boost switch for added gain.
Effects section features a level control and an effect selection control with the following choices: Hall Reverb, Spring Reverb, Slapback, Delay, Chorus, Chorus w/ Reverb, Flange w/ Reverb, and Tremolo. There is a button that turns the effects section on and off. Both channel selection and effects on/off can be controlled with a seperate footswitch.

Construction: Very solid construction. The knobs and buttons are all on top, near the back, cutting the amps height to just that of the speaker. The front protects the speaker well.

Sound: The amp sounds rather good. My only complaint is that it's a little bass heavy and the distortion isn't good for shredding, even when cranked. However, high-gain blues and the like are well suited to the distortion of this amp, and chords can be played with distortion without sounding like a muddy mess. The clean channel sounds best without bass at a high setting at with treble at least at 5 and often with brilliance on, to counter the bass-heaviness of this amp. This amp is certainly capable of performing loudly, but can be kept down to house-friendly volume as well.

Ease of Use: It's very simple to use. Anyone who has used an amplifier before will figure this out in an instant. The knobs are clearly labelled nearby and the manual also explains the layout. Even if this is their first amp, it should be easy to understand.

Reliability: Although I haven't had it long, I don't forsee this amp having any problems. The only time I've ever had problems with one was the used one I got all Ebay, and the seller didn't package it with adequate protection (just stuck it in a cardboard box and smacked down some duct tape. The abuse of the shipping process had casued the volume board to become damaged. When I got one new from another seller, it arrived in perfect condition and has had no problems since.)

Overall: I would say this is a very good amp overall, and is well suited to most genres of music. If you're into shred metal, a distortion pedal could probably provide you with what you needed for little extra cost, and the solid construction and high-quality speakers would still provide you with a reliable amp.

Experience Level: I have been playing for just short of three years, and took lessons until about a month ago.
