A buddy of mine is selling a couple of these guitars on ebay, i'm pretty sure that one of them is a classical (i want that one especially), I forgot the ebay address where he has them, but here is the site for charles fox guitars

http://www.charlesfoxguitars.com/

Has anyone heard of these guitars and/or played one? He has a starting bid of $1000 and he says they're really good. He doesn't play guitar himself, so I didn't really take his word for it right away. I'm sure you folks can figure it out.

I told him if he doesn't sell them on ebay, that I would buy one for $500. He said he would talk it over with his friend.

any opinions???

thanks

After seeing this site, I'd buy 10 for $500.00 (let's see...if 100 of us each puts up.smile.gif)

Ive never played one but Charles Fox invented the side bending machine so for that he gets my resect instantly smile.gif . The guitars are hand made quality instruments. Notich his steel strings use the typical Martin style braceing pattern and he scallops the braceing like martin used to do in days of old. These guitars will sound better that your high end factory guitars like martin , taylor ect of today. Id put money on that.

There's two possibilities of you getting one for 500:

1. The seller doesn't know what he's selling
2. The instruments aren't what it says on the tin.

Even without Adds' expert input you can see that those are quality instruments.

that's true, i'm hoping for possibility number one.... the seller doesn't know what he's selling.

The guitars are actually not his, they belong to a girl friend of his (female friend).... so if I can score one for $500 bucks, I'd be a luck son of a ######... tongue.gif

End of the day if hes putting it on ebay even if he dont know what hes selling someone else will and they will bid more than 500. So either way your bound to lose.
