Hey everyone

Ive been playing guitar for a good four years now, and I'm looking to buy an acoustic guitar, I've had a fender strat for the last 3.

Can anyone recommend a brand or model for about $300-$400? Cheers.

at that price range the suggestions you will get will be yamaha, alvarez (i think), takamine and washburn and maybe some others.

not up on the models for that price but i'd stick with the yamaha and takamine guitars. best i've played at that range (although i've never played an alvarez.

My dad has an Alvarez. It's pretty nice, actually. Don't know what the price was, though.

Buy a washburn acousitc guitar and buy some medium Elixir strings (nanoweb) and you will have one of THE nicest soundin guitars. Alvarez are nice but expensive as hell (worth it if you got it though). I have a washburn song i use it to play covers from bands like Staind, Pearl Jam, Disturbed, and Fuel. You won't be sorry bro, i get compliments all the time on the sound of that guitar. Hope this helps, have fun.

I would definitely look into Takamines for that price range.
