Today I went to the music store and tried out some amps. Afterwards I went over to mess around with the acoustics (not looking to buy anything). I picked up a Fender (never played a Fender acoustic) and was amazed. I hear alot of people badmouthing them but I liked it. It had a real cool percussive sound that I like. Then I saw it was only $2??. Then some kid walks up and goes "Hey, you should try out one of those Taylors", then complimented my playing biggrin.gif . So I did. Whew! It had such a cool tone but didn't have that percussive sound. Looked at the price: $24??. Oh well, sad.gif maybe some other time.

Btw, the ?s are because I don't remember the exact price.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

I'm not sure what you mean by percussive sound, but the day a $200 Fender Acoustic P.O.S. makes me put down a $2400 Taylor, is the day I walk away from guitar.

Then put down your guitar now, not evryone likes the same sound, and it's not ALWAYS about money, you're the type of person that assumes one guitar sounds better just because it's more money. What a classical idiot.

I wasn't putting the Taylor down, as I loved both. They just had different sounds. One was kind of percussive (don't really know how to explain it) and the other was really bright and crispy.

If the Fender was a dreadnaught and the Taylor a jumbo, that makes a lot of sense. There's more than brand.

I believe they were both regular-sized.
