What is the dollar value on a used Epiphone Chet Atkins classical acoustic/electric guitar. The local pawn shop has it for 500 CAD, although I think its only worth 400 at the most for the thing. Its in fairly good shape and plays like a dream so well that I want it.

With how it seems like alot of things go, the name Chet Atkins alone is going to raise the value. If you slap Jimi Hendrix on a guitar, the value is going to rise. I've seen alot of classical guitars cost a bit less than steel-string, at least in my area anyway, but that could simply be due to supply and demand, or something like that.

I think overall, depending on which one it is, I'd easily throw it out to be 400-500. If you feel completely in your heart that it is worth 400, then try to take the middle ground around 450 or something along those lines.

Note**This is just a rough guess, also considering I have no idea what the guitar looks like or anything. But I'm taking into perspective that Pawn Shops tend to throw up the price a bit in order to make a profit, and it being used is gonna drop its value a bit.

So please, don't kill me if I'm wrong. happy.gif
