I own a second hand 12 string its a MATAO and Im looking to buy a new one . most stores around here will carry 1 or 2 , 12 stings . none of which have the right sound for me. so I was wondering what others might have and are you pleased with it or not?

also where could I find parts for a 12 string? a couple of my tuning keys are worn and need replacing.

sounds like a very inexpensive guitar....go to a good music store and get it fixed and set up....not familiar with 12 strings aside from knowing that a Samick is not that good.

Well I kind of like my Gibson...
If you just need a cheap 12 I have no problems reccomending the Rouge rd-12 from musicians friend. Head to head, it will out play anything under 500$ retail.
If you want the sound but don't have the money. Seagull's Art and luthiery line offers excellant 12's that are as good if not better than the currant crop of martins and gibsons in the sound department.
Or just go with the 'Safe' brands Yamaha, Ibenez, Takimine.
Unless you can afford a new top end 12...In which case I hate you and will not help any further.
Just an idea... Not an actual serving suggestion.
