Anyone know any easy tabs that I can practice with similar to the level of "Brain Stew" by Green Day.. I'm a beginner so I can't pull of a bunch of stuff yet, something even just a tad more advance but nothing crazy.. thanks if anyone can help.

Ive been playing for 3 1/2 months, and the first few songs i learned were mostly green day, since i'm a huge fan and the fact that they use all (well mostly) power chords helps. When I Come Around is pretty easy, only 4 chords for the majority of the song, a 5th one thrown in for the chorus. I know its easier at the beginning to go between notes on the same set just by sliding up and down, but when i come around will give you a little help on going from the first set to the second set. Another song i learned quickly was Come as you are, not really the whole song, but the majority of the song is the same as the intro and is a good little ditty to try picking, plus when you get it after a few tries, you feel like you can play something, and your making progress. The intro riff to Welcome to Paradise is only 3 chords, thats not too hard.... let me know how those go =)

Its a good topic, so I`ll use it to ask for very simple solos. biggrin.gif
Im beginner and Im looking for short solos, which are simple and fast to learn and which have a well sounding melody, a cool rythme (rock) and which additionaly sound very well esspecially on the acoustic guitar.

i havnt done too much with the solos in green days songs yet, but they are pretty simple, and usually only 5 - 10 seconds long, like in when i come around, my picking isnt good enough to get it yet, but maybe your at that point if your looking for solos.
