Bad forum manners LooPback.
My mom played guitar while she was pregnant with me so I was imprinted early. Thing is I didn't touch a guitar untill I was 19. I've been playing every day since. (I'm 34)
Just an idea... Not an actual serving suggestion.

I'd saved a few dollars raking leaves in the few weeks before, with some cash I got for my birthday (Nov 11) I had the $15 for the guitar I'd seen in a pawnshop window. I took the bus downtown to get it the next day.
(Remember that was a looong time ago. I got 25 cents per lawn for raking leaves and $3 cash gifts from an aunt and grandmother back in those days when a pair of Levi jeans cost $2.99 and a theater ticket cost fifty cents was not as small as it seems now!)

speaking of things that cost waaaay more nowadays, my girlfriend's dad went to the same college i go to now, and back then, in the 70's, he said he paid about $1400 per year. Including housing/food/etc, I pay approximately $32,000 a year.

I've been playing just shy of two years so far. I got my first guitar, a starter guitar that still upsets me when I play it, on Christmas, so that's the only reason I know exactly when it was.

That's extremely close to what my tuition cost when I went versus what my son's cost when he went a couple of years ago. Keep in mind that nowadays colleges are full of students who are given "free" scholarships because they are "in need" or for the sake of "diversity." Nothing is free. Your tutition now covers the cost of you as well as that of several other students who aren't paying.

Yeah, Stu up there is as old as dirt. Me, I'm still only fifty... er... twenty-five. Yeah, that's it... twenty-five. I started playing when I was... (does the math on his fingers...) um... negative-fifteen.
