Alot of very big songs were actually just short riffs strung together. 'The Space Between' by Dave Matthews is just two riffs strung together, with a third for the birdge. It's not a complicated song. Not to mention alot of Johnny Cash songs are nothing but three or four chords, and they all sounds fine.
The only way to know if a tab is right is to play it. If it sounds like the song does, I mean really sounds good, don't complain, just go with it.
P.S.
This might be the wrong forum to post this in by the way.

That kind of thing is being weeded out...SLOWLY... but the Tab gods are working on getting rid of as much crap stuff as they can.
The tab Gods are have also raised the standard of tabs accepted. So while yes there are quite a few crappy tabs left they'll be taken care of.
When you consider that all submissions are made by people who just love to play and that there is no compensation for their work. I think that the overall quality of the tabs to be found at GTU is amazing. If it weren't would everyone else be stealing tabs from this site?

Hi Guys,
I've been here since 2003 and have always used the tabs on the site, come on they arent all going to be perfect but over time they have got a lot better.
Sometimes, working them out and finding a wrong note or two is a good way of learning.
anyway thats my two pennies worth.
keep tabbing guys, I cant.
