Ok I need help picking out a guitar. I've have my mind on a Washburn WD52SW at 399.99 with a case or a washburn WD300SW at 299.99 with no case. Should I spead the exta money on the WD52SW or go for the cheaper WD300SW?

yea just spend the extra. After you buy the less expensive plus a case your almost as much as the other. really wont save you any.
if they sound the same to your ear, by the cheaper one.

A good case is important to have. No case or using a gig-bag is just an accident waiting to happen. Whatever you get, if you don't have one already, get a decent case.
Un-plugged is not the same as

If you buy a cheap guitar now, later you'll end up buying another expencive one so you might as well get the more expencive one now.
