Jul 22, 2005 - My friend Brianna got this same model, only in natural finish, for a debut guitar. She just ADORES it. I told her that it was the right model for her, and she's going to stick with playing the guitar for the rest of her life. She's a great singer, and her Ibanez PF5 sounds wonderful when she strums chords while she sings.

Aug 12, 2005 - This was my first guitar, and I stick to it! Not even my uncles Gibson Songbird can match this guitars massive sound and tone, well the Gibson might be a bit defined/refined in its sound. But the D10S is like a gig in your lap! It has got lots of sustain if you get the right strings, for me it will be Elexir nanoweb 0.12. But this is of course about taste too. Like Keith Richards said about Telecasters: "I'm like a plumber with his favourite wrench- they do the job and I swear by them!" I think this also fits this guitar!

Not played any of them but going on that there the D1OS. Its the only one with a solid spruce top.
Thanks, I like the D10s a little more too.

i highly, HIGHLY suggest a Ibanez AES10E it has a fishman sonicore pickup, which has a built in EQ, Tuner, Phase control(to reduce distortion) and you can even adjust how big of a body you want the guitar to have it costs like $350 which is double what you wanted to get but as soon as you pick it up you will know the difference. Don't buy a cheap guitar because 9 times out of time it will be a peice, and i realize that most of us have a budget(mine is really really low) but in the end when you have the ability to hold say maybe a taylor, gibson, takamine, Martin and co., etc... and you just would enjoy more because you took the time and got something extremely nice. and when you get it you should post some pics. ibanez has a great acoustic/electric but i know for a fact that washburn has an incredible acoustic but spend wisely

you are telling him to buy a cheap guitar which the sound quality will most likely suck. would you rather by 50 ######ty guitars or one nice guitar. and would you like to buy a guitar without a pickup when you actually want to do something live and you have to buy an epensive ass microphone so that it will not feedback every three seconds your fingers are not on the strings. i also said in my statement to save and buy something nice not a peice of ######. and a $350 guitar will be a hell of alot better than a $170 guitar.

I advised he buy the one with a solid top which will sound better acousticly than a plywood top. He also made no mention of wanting to do anything live either. And as far as im concerned a anything in the 350 range or lower is going to sound crap either way. If i was buying that cheep id be looking more at how well its set up than anything. Plywood junk is plywood junk to me
