so i played the coolest guitar ever today

it was like a martin 0 or double 0 or something, but it wasnt made by martin- it was like even better quality. it was a banjo-pickin friend of mines pop's. my friend said it was worth several thousand dollars. it was really light, sounded amazing, and had that famous folk guitar look to it

so 2 questions
-any idea on what kind of gi-tar it is (i can ask my friend when i see him again)
-is there a similar sounding guitar for like, maybe less than a grand?

Could be anything really. Theres so many makers out there and all we have to go on is thats its a 00 design. 00s were great guitars and many people have contuniued to build them. I built one myself.

i assume you mean it joins the body at the 12th fret right?
Yes thats right 00s join at the 12th bit of a pain you you need to go up futher but i dont often go up there plus mines not my only guitar. They do sound great though and as they are a little smaller its quite nice to take that if you going out and about with it. They are great guitars.

i was a big fan till i got my J-45. still love em but sofar this guitar has done everything i've needed. no doubt ill be gettin another acoustic but the J cured as gas i had for any other six strings for a while.

Yeah id say you made the right choice. Think th j45 is a bit more versatile. The oos are good but really for finger picking. They aint so good when it comes to strumming.
