well, you've now got your "beater" guitar that you can bring to parties and such. get a job (if you don't have one already) and save up for a nice guitar.
unfortunatley, this is one of those "live and learn" things that my parents used to tell me about.

Anything in that price range is going to be bad. You get what you pay for and at that price you shouldnt really expect to get anything decent.
I dunno I bought a Walden Natura D550 acoustic for about 270 and I think its a great guitar. But on the other hand I would never buy a guitar on-line, because you have no way to test it

that's what sucks about on line guitars, even if you do the research and try the same guitar in a music store, the one from online isn't always gonna sound the same.
but, online stores generally have better deals.....

For the most part, I agree that Fender Acoustics are not so good, but I'll say that the absolute BEST guitar I've ever played was a $287 Fender Acoustic guitar in the local store. I've played alot fo expensive guitars before, but this sounded better than all of them. I wish I could buy it, considering it's probably one of those exceptional ones of the model type.

Alot of shops will meet or beat published online prices if you just talk to them about it.

I think you should consider selling it, or trading it in for something better. Nobody says you HAVE to keep it.

fender does make some pretty good acoustics- my friend bought one from guitar center that sounds pretty good
my favorite fender acoustic is the "original" stratacoustic. in the mid-60's fender put out some guitars with acoustic bodies and strat necks. truss rod and everything. my friend's pops got one- sounds awesome, i believe its a "palamino". i've seen pictures of johnny cash and bob dylan with them....pretty cool stuff
fender also makes a quality resonator banjo for not too much
