Yes, I've heard a lot of his stuff and have some of his music on recordings and on video. While it's not necessarily my "thing" as far as what I usually play, he is very good and watching him play contributes to ones overall skills. For those who are into altered-tunings he's well worth checking out.
Un-plugged is not the same as

he's an incredible musician. what really appeals to me about him and sets him apart from many players who play in dadgad extensively is that his music has en adge to it. this quality is the same thing that drew me to leo kottke and michael hedges - it's not all slow and pretty.

I've just discovered another acoustic artist worth checking out ( I didn't want to make a new thread....I might break the internet or something

A guy called Andrew York ...great pieces include "Sunburst" (
wow!) and "In the wake of sorrow". beautiful music .
