recently my band and i have been using acoustics more often. and recently i purchased a nice acoustic for songwriting at home and now going to use it for gigs.
i use one of those SD woody sc pickups with my amp but its not totally convincing.
so i was wondering is it feasible and how much it would roughly cost to add a pickup into my guitar.. i dont want to buy another one due to $$ and i really quite like this acoustic.
thanks.

Totally feasible, not too difficult to do and the cost is as much as you care to spend on a pickup. Try looking at a site like stewmac.com or somewhere. Just a regular electric pick-up of your choice and then switch to using electric strings. Volume and tone controls, if you want them, make it more work, but still not overly difficult. But first you might just want to try adding a couple of effects like an over-drive or tube-screamer to your Seymour Duncan. That may be all you want without carving up your guitar. Or effects through another snap-in pickup with volume (and tone) control on it.
