Ok i saw the tab for basket case and i dont get the first part,actually i dont get how u does that rythm.
Can someone show me how to do this?
What do u need to palm mute the whole thing?

For Palm muting rest your strumming hand lightly on thew strings as you play giving a 'thunk' ing (its a word i swear) sound to the strings.. there are other topics on this and prob better explainations.

Some of the notes are palm-muted and some aren't.

you use downstrokes the whole intro and on the last beat of every chord change play it open

Yeh, As They Said, It's Pretty Hard To Figure Out When Billie Joe Plays The Open Chords, I Still Haven't Figured It Out Yet Myself ! I Think I Play A Different Tab To You Though....Not Sure...

down strokes the whole time, but i play it with different rythms... i think the rythm is quite unimportant at this song...
