I've done a search, and not really found what I was looking for. A string pack that doesn't make as much of a screech when you move your hands. Not too bright, on the mellow end. .12s I haven't found any strings that claim to make less noise.

Noise, eh? You could try some Martin Silk and Steel strings or some coated strings like Elixer. Finger Ease spray is also an option.

I have them on all my acoustics.

As far as the "screech". No says you have to keep your hand down on the strings to slide up and down the neck. I make it an effort to keep the screeching down to a minimum. It gets better over time/practice.

I find it very annoying to play w/ someone who overly screeches.
