Like i said i would like a deeper sound in my bass strings and a slightly less brightness in my higher stings. As of now i use D'arrio's light and have a relatively good guitar, around $1200, and would like to get some more definition from my bass stings (lowE,A,D,and maybe G)because i play with a lot of added bass notes.
thanks

Try some JOHN PEARSE NEW STANDARDS.

You'll never go back to what you are using.

Everyone has their preferences according to what they play and their own taste. I generally use D'Addario Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass Gauge (which is a hybrid-set with heavier wound-strings) for exactly the same reasons you have described above.

Un-plugged is not the same as
never-was-plugged-in-to-begin-with.
