I have an awesome beautiful classical guitar , a yamaha c-40 ( yes cheapo , but doesn't look\sound it) . It sounds and plays great , with the exception of a few dull notes , esp past the 10 fret on the G , and D strings...bad intonation or whatever ....but other than that , it's great .
But the thing is , for some strange reason , after the magical hour of i guess 12 AM , my guitar suddenly loses those dull spots , intonation becomes perfect , hell , it even looks nicer . The sound goes from being 'just good' to.. cd quality smile.gif . Every note rings so crisply and clearly , and it gets an almost ...sultry 'voice' to it.. like sexy lounge singer voice if you know what I mean tongue.gif

Why is this ? change in humidity at night ? temperature ? Anybody else have this happening to them ? Like special time of day where the guitar just shines ?

I'm crazy .. yeh I know.... wink.gif

I've noticed this too...I dunno. Sometimes my 'el cheapo' giutar sounds pretty damn nice, then sometimes it's kinda...meh. Maybe it had something to do with how we're feeling and stuff.

sometimes an instrument won't sound as good as it can, it's just the way of instruments really. intonation and clarity and resonance are all affected by various things, but when you hit the magic time just play for all you can, it certainly will make you feel better. smile.gif.
