So I've been wanting to get the guitar that was in my "Soon to purchase" in my sig, but notice now it says "Currently Own:".

Woooohoooo.

My fiance totally fooled me. She kept telling me to wait to get it, and even had her boss in on it. (Her boss is my old boss, and is a guitarist too). So my old boss told me to quit hounding me fiance about getting the guitar and that he was gonna try and pull some strings.

I had no idea what he had up his sleeve, and it was driving me crazy.

Well today we went home from lunch, and there's a knock at the door, UPS with my new Seagull guitar.

Just so excited I had to post.

Woot!

Nice one, I remember when I came home from my driving lesson a couple of years ago and found my new fender telecaster in the kitchen inside a box. It was great.

Congratulations. I got a Seagull a month or two ago, and I love it.

I got the basic S6 Cedar. I bought it from Musiciansbuy.com for $359 with a free hardshell case.

Yeah, I got mine from 8thstreetmusic.com for $350 as well, and a free hardshell case.

The only thing is, they forgot to send the hardshell case, so I won't get that until friday.

How's the case, is it decent quality?

That's so stupid......they could have just put the guitar in the case and sent it.

BTW, nothing is ever free. The price of that case was added to the guitar.

I know, I was expecting it to be in the case when I got the package, but they forgot to, heh.

I considered the case free, because I shopped for the same guitar at 3 shops and 2 websites, and they all charged the same price, but only one gave you the case.

I was surprised by the quality of the "free" case that I got. I expected to get something like vinyl covered cardboard, and that the latches and hinges would immediately pull out, but it seems pretty sturdy. It has no manufacturer's name on it anywhere, just a "Made in Canada" stamped on the plastic tab that opens the storage bin.

And they did ship mine inside the case.
